Coming back from Ireland, I was overflowing with inspiration—and totally unsure what to do with it! Running a tropical apparel brand, my creativity has always been fueled by palm trees and warm sun. The Emerald Isle threw me for a loop.

Even though Ireland is an island with oceans that felt surprisingly like home, the cooler climate made me question how to translate its magic into my tropical aesthetic. How could I blend this new culture into my designs without it feeling out of place?

Then it hit me: the green. Ireland is called the Emerald Isle for a reason. Inspired by those vibrant mossy hills and coastal blues, I realized color was my bridge.

Just before my trip, my sweet friend Serena asked if I’d keep an eye out for sea glass for her. Since she’s a talented jewelry designer, I went on a mission along the coast. Gathering ocean-tumbled treasures for her inspired me to craft something special for myself, too.

That spark led to the green sea glass necklace pictured here! While I ended up gifting this exact piece to my sister, keep checking in—I'll be making a one-of-a-kind green sundress inspired by those breathtaking Irish greens!
